Upon arrival in Tangier, either by ferry or by plane, you will be met by a private driver who will accompany you to Rabat. Rabat, the former imperial capital, is known for its impressive architecture, including domes, minarets and vast terraces.
On the way to Rabat, you will pass through Larache, a city with Andalusian and Arabic influences located on the Atlantic coast. Once in Rabat, you will have the opportunity to visit the charming Kasbah of Oudaia and explore the bustling Medina with its vibrant souks.
You will also visit Rabat's landmarks, such as the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Necropolis of Chella, where ancient Roman and Islamic ruins coexist. Enjoy a delicious dinner at your hotel in Rabat.
After breakfast, departure from Rabat along extensive farmland to the second imperial city of Meknes to photograph the huge Bab El Mansour gate. The city tour of Meknes includes the Sahrij Souani stables, the old medina and the beautiful royal palace. Afterwards you will visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis. Volubilis is a truly impressive scenery selected by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site. After the visit, departure to the great city of Fez. Dinner will be served at your riad or hotel accommodation.
Fez, one of the oldest imperial capitals in the world, was built in 808 as the first political, religious and cultural capital, and after breakfast you will meet our local guide for a full day tour. Start the visit at the Golden Gates of the Royal Palace. Later, we will have a bird's eye view of the wall of an ancient medina from a nearby viewpoint. Afterwards, we will set off on foot to encounter a plethora of repulsive sensations. We will visit several places of worship, such as mosques and madrassas, before reaching the tanners' quarter. We will continue our tour and stop at a community of artists, without leaving you a break for lunch. Fez has deservedly earned its reputation as the "city of artisans" thanks to the knowledge its inhabitants brought with them from Spain and their preservation of Andalusian art and culture. Dine at the hotel/riad and overnight.
After breakfast, our first stop will be the holy city of Moulay Idriss, where you will have the opportunity to explore its historical sites and soak up its spiritual atmosphere. We will then enjoy a delicious lunch. Afterwards, we will continue our journey to the charming town of Chefchaouen, famous for its iconic blue whitewashed buildings and nestled in the picturesque Rif Mountains. Upon arrival, you will have the opportunity to stroll through its picturesque streets and immerse yourself in the unique charm of this vibrant city. Dinner will be served in a traditional riad, where you can relax and enjoy the evening.
After breakfast, you will have free time to explore the captivating blue city of Chefchaouen at your leisure. Stroll through its charming streets and soak up its vibrant atmosphere. On your return, you will drive back to Tangier, passing through the picturesque green Rif Mountains and the city of Tetouan. Once in Tangier, you will be escorted to your hotel for a comfortable stay.
