We will rise early to start our journey to Ait Benhaddou, which will be a priority before our breakfast. To reach this renowned destination, we will cross the picturesque mountain pass of Tizi N Tichka, discovering the most famous Kasbah in Morocco. The Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, captivates with its panoramic clay fortress adorned with exquisite architecture. Today, this Kasbah is divided into two sections: one in ruins and the other still inhabited, displaying a harmonious blend of nature and human ingenuity. Its otherworldly location gives it a fascinating charm. We will enjoy our lunch in this incomparable setting. The Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou has attracted international recognition thanks to its appearance in numerous prominent films, making it worthy of your time, effort and presence. In the afternoon, we will travel towards the Dades Gorges, crossing breathtaking views along the way.
After breakfast, we will embark towards the Todra Gorges, a narrow valley nestled between towering mountains. Here we will immerse ourselves in unforgettable moments, surrounded by panoramic views of the mountains and the serene beauty of the Oasis that adds an enchanting touch to this tranquil valley. Our stay in the Todra Gorges will last until noon, giving us plenty of time to savor the surroundings before enjoying a satisfying lunch.
From there, we will continue our expedition to Merzouga, passing through Tinjdad, a vital center and village of great economic importance in the area. Our route will take us through small Berber villages until we reach Erfoud, known as the city of fossils, where natural stones are transformed into exquisite decorative pieces. Our journey will also take us through Rissani, a bustling town known for its lively market, before finally arriving in Merzouga, the gateway to the desert.
In Merzouga, we will embark on a camel ride through the golden dunes, deep into the heart of the desert. There we will spend a captivating night in a desert camp, surrounded by the breathtaking panorama of starry skies. The night will be filled with enchantment as we delight in the rhythmic beats of the Berber drum, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
After enjoying our breakfast, we will set off to explore the area. Our first stop will be the village of Khamlia, also known as the Gnaoua Village, where descendants of Sudanese slaves reside. We will have the opportunity to spend time with the locals, learning about their culture and experiencing the captivating rhythms of Gnaoua music. Before returning to Merzouga, we will enjoy a delicious lunch in the village.
In the afternoon, we will embark on a camel ride, venturing deep into the Sahara Desert. As we traverse the mesmerizing sand dunes, we will witness the breathtaking reflections of the setting sun and marvel at the celestial display of stars at night. Accompanied by the rhythmic beats of the Berber drum, we will arrive at our destination: a luxurious desert camp. There we will delight in a delicious dinner and spend a peaceful night immersed in the enchanting desert atmosphere.
Our Four days tour from Marrakech concludes with an unforgettable camel journey back to Merzouga. We will then proceed on to Ifrane, a picturesque hamlet situated in the Atlas Mountains.
Ifrane is frequently referred to as Morocco's "Little Switzerland" due to its alpine landscapes and intermittent precipitation in the winter. Depending on the itinerary, lunch will be served in Ifrane or in the beautiful Ziz Valley.
Prepare to be captivated by Tafilalt's breathtaking vistas, golden dunes, and enchanting oasis as we traverse this route. The landscape will feature rose-colored golden sandstone residences, meandering canyons, and verdant palm trees embellishing cliff sides, making for a genuinely enthralling experience.
