On the first day of our 3 DAY TOUR FROM FES TO MARRAKECH, we will pick you up at your hotel or riad around 8:00. To reach Midelt, we will travel through the highlands and cedar forests of the Middle Atlas.
We will pass through Ifrane, a captivating ski resort town. Cedar wood craftsmanship is the specialty of a remarkable craft center in Azrou that is worth a visit. Dinner will be served in Midelt.
Later, we will travel to the Sahara desert of Merzouga, passing the Ziz River, which rises in the eastern High Atlas and flows for 280 kilometers, carving its way through limestone rocks and creating magnificent gorges, with a flow ten times greater during floods.
The village of Merzouga, known internationally as the Merzouga Dunes, is located 50 kilometers south of the Erfoud dunes. The natural attraction is easily accessible and offers an extraordinary and moving experience.
You will ride a camel like a Touareg into the magnificent dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you will set up a makeshift camp for the night. You will dine on a traditional Berber feast and spend the night in a nomadic camel yurt.
Your camel driver will wake you up early in the morning so that you can climb the sand dunes and see the beautiful sunrise of the Sahara desert. We will leave the Sahara after breakfast at the camp and head to the Dades Valley.
Our first stop will be Rissani, where the Alawite empire began. This is the royal family that rules Morocco today. We will go to its traditional souk, which is in the center of town and has different sections of dates, vegetables, spices, animals, clothing and handicrafts.
We will continue until we reach the Todra Gorge, 300 meters deep. Along the way, we will see green palm trees and Berber villages. We will have time to walk through the tunnel and cool off in the Todra River, which is a beautiful place.
After lunch, we will head west towards the Dades valley, where we will see beautiful sand castles and the rock formations of the "monkey fingers". Your hotel for the night will overlook the lush green Dades valley.
After breakfast on the last day of our 3 days Fes to Marrakech desert tour, we will take a short walk through the canyons before heading to Marrakech.
We will pass through Kalaat M'Gouna, the Valley of the Roses, and the Route of the Thousand Great Kasbahs on our way to the Dades Valley. Later we will stop in the village of Ait Benhaddou for lunch on the way to Ouarzazate.
